Fuengirola

Fuengirola is the working, family end of the coast: a seven-kilometre promenade, wide beaches, a busy town centre and a train line straight into Málaga and the airport, which none of the towns further west have.

It is less polished than Marbella and more practical, with a large permanent international community and good everyday infrastructure. The marina, the Sohail castle and the beaches are the anchor points, and Los Boliches keeps a genuine neighbourhood feel.
