About
The considered guide to living well on the Costa del Sol.
Cavalma Lifestyle is the lifestyle arm of Cavalma: a reviewed guide to the people, places and businesses that make life on the Costa del Sol what it is.
The coast is full of recommendations. Very few of them are accountable. Cavalma Lifestyle exists to be the version you can act on: a small, checked set of businesses across twelve lifestyle sectors and the towns between Málaga and Sotogrande, described properly and reachable in one step.
We come from Cavalma, where the same standards apply to property. This platform carries that language into everyday life: the table you book, the boat you charter, the architect you trust with a house.
Nothing here is generated from public listings or scraped from review sites. Each profile is written with the business, checked by an editor and updated when things change. If a business stops meeting the standard, it comes off the guide.
- Invitation, not application volume
- Every business in the guide is researched by our team before it is invited. Businesses may apply, but applying does not buy a place.
- Verified before published
- We check registration, trading history, insurance where relevant and at least two independent references before a profile goes live.
- Editorial independence
- Our writing is never sold. Membership funds the platform; it does not influence what we recommend or how we rank search results.
- Quiet by design
- No star ratings, no review farming, no urgency banners. Considered detail, honest photography and clear ways to make contact.
What we look for
The bar is the same in every category, whether it is a beach restaurant or a private aviation broker.
- The work is consistently good, not occasionally good.
- The business is properly registered and trading, with insurance where the work requires it.
- Someone answers. Enquiries are handled by a person who knows the business.
- Guests and clients say the same thing we found, without being asked to.
- Prices are explained before the work starts.
How the guide is funded
Listed businesses pay an annual membership. It covers the review, the photography guidance, the profile and the enquiry system. It does not buy a place in the guide, a position in search results or a mention in the journal. Anything marked as sponsored is labelled as such, every time.
