Estepona

Flower-lined streets, a working port and a slower, more local rhythm.

Estepona has done something unusual on this coast: it has invested in its own town centre. The old quarter is planted with flowers street by street, the promenade runs for kilometres without interruption, and the fishing port still operates commercially alongside the leisure berths.

It is noticeably more Spanish in feel than Marbella, with prices to match, while still offering the golf, marina and villa infrastructure that draws people to the coast. New residential development runs west towards Manilva and up into the hills behind.

The Estepona businesses in this guide include restaurants, wellness practitioners, venues in the surrounding countryside and marine services working from the port.
